Antwerp to Win and Over 2.5 Match Goals

      Reason for tip

Antwerp are unbeaten in nine against Leuven and should come out on top again on Sunday, but their lack of clean-sheets, particularly at home, means this could be an open contest featuring at least three goals.

      Antwerp 3-1

      Reason for tip

These two teams shared four goals when they drew 2-2 back in February and a similar tally could be struck this weekend, although this time Antwerp are expected to come out on top, with Leuven’s confidence low after their 5-0 thrashing at Union SG last time out.

      Antwerp vs Leuven Predictions

      • Antwerp are unbeaten in their last nine meetings with Leuven
      • Leuven have failed to win any of their last seven matches, losing five of those
      • The visitors come into this game on the back of a 5-0 loss at Union SG

      Antwerp eyeing first win

Royal Antwerp have started the new season with back-to-back draws against Union SG and Genk but they should register their first victory when facing a Leuven side they are unbeaten against across their last nine meetings.

Leuven have failed to win any of their last seven competitive games – a run that stretches back to April – with five of those ending in defeat, including last weekend’s 5-0 loss at Union SG.

David Hubert will hope his side can deliver a much improved display against Antwerp and both meetings between this pair last season ended as score draws, although Leuven have not won away to Sunday’s hosts since August 2014.

      Goals expected in open clash

Antwerp should win this game but it could be an open affair as the Great Old have not kept a home clean sheet since October 2024.

Leuven have conceded the most goals of any side in the Belgian Pro League after the opening two rounds so neither of these teams appear to be on top of their games defensively.

A total of 11 goals have been scored across the last three meetings between these two sides and something similar could play out on Sunday, with Antwerp fancied to claim a 3-1 success.
