Expect goals as Antwerp host Omonia

Antwerp have started the season poorly and are facing the prospect of being dumped out of Europa League qualifying by Omonia.

Omonia won the first leg 4-2 in Cyprus, leaving Antwerp needing to recover a two-goal deficit if they are to reach the tournament proper.

The Belgian outfit have lost three of their five games so far this season, with one win and one draw, but they have only played once at their Bosuilstadion home – losing 1-0 to Kortrijk.

Omonia have struggled on their travels in Europe and lost out 2-0 at Dinamo Zagreb in Champions League qualifying, before a 2-2 draw at Estonia’s Flora in the previous round of this competition.

I’m edging towards an Antwerp win here but the both teams to score market looks like a better option as both teams have scored in four of Antwerp’s five games and Omonia have scored in four of their six games, and there were six goals in total in the first leg.  The Cypriot outfit will be more defensive than they were in the first leg at home but they should still get a few chances, and a 2-1 win for the home side is my correct score selection.
