Aston Villa just don’t look capable of getting themselves out of trouble. They sit rock bottom of the Premier League table with just six points from their opening 15 matches.

Their form has taken them to 2^nd position in the Premier League table, just two points behind league leaders Leicester and one point ahead of Manchester City in 3^rd.

Arsenal are in good scoring form as well. They have netted ten times in their last four outings in all competitions, and they are coming up against an Aston Villa side who have shipped 11 in their last five games.

Five of Aston Villa’s last seven matches have seen three or more goals scored, whilst Arsenal have seen goalfests in eight of their last ten outings.

Recent history between these teams also points towards a glut of goals. A huge 22 goals have been scored in the last six meetings between Arsenal and Aston Villa, with all of those games ending with more than two goals.

This makes odds of 17/20 for Over 2.5 Goals look very appealing to me. I think Arsenal will get the win as well, so I’m also backing a 2-1 correct score prediction at 8/1.
