Aston Villa saw their horrendous form transferred from the Premier League to the FA Cup at the weekend when they failed to beat Wycombe Wanderers in the 3^rd Round.

They had failed to score in these three matches, but only one game ended in defeat for Alan Pardew’s impressive side. I think their good performance at St Mary’s on Saturday will have put a new breath of life into the hard to beat Crystal Palace side.

Crystal Palace have won four of their last eight matches in all competitions and only lost once, a run which has taken them to an impressive 7^th position in the Premier League. They are only five points adrift of the top four as well.

Crystal Palace have won three of their last five matches against Aston Villa, drawing once and losing once on the way. But this is a much better Crystal Palace side and a much worse Aston Villa side than we have seen in recent years.

This makes a Crystal Palace victory look all the more appealing, and excellent odds of 6/4 for an away win make it an even better backing. I’m also going for a 2-0 correct score prediction at 11/1.
