Both Teams To Score

Reason for tip

Peterhead have scored in 10 of their last 11 games, with both teams scoring in nine of those games. Hibs are clearly a level above the visitors and should be able to grab a few goals but the capital club have conceded in their last two LC games and could be vulnerable at the back so both teams to score appeals here.

Hibernian 3-1

Reason for tip

A Peterhead goal is expected but it is unlikely to be much more than a consolation effort. Hibs will be looking to respond after the loss to Kelty Hearts and they have managed 10 goals in total across their three League Cup games, so a 3-1 home win appeals.

Hibernian vs Peterhead Predictions

  • Hibs have conceded in their last two games.
  • BTTS has landed in nine of Peterhead’s last 11 competitive games.
  • Hibs have five wins in their last eight at Easter Road.

Go for goals at both ends at Easter Road

Hibs slipped to a surprise defeat to Kelty Hearts in their last League Cup game and will be looking to respond when Peterhead visit Edinburgh on Saturday.

The hosts are the clear favourites and should be able to avoid another upset but the standout bet here is perhaps both teams to score.

Hibs have conceded in their last two games against lower ranked competition in League One outfit Kelty Hearts and Championship side Queen of the South.

Peterhead play in League Two but came close to promotion last season and they won at Kelty Hearts in their last cup game.

The visitors are generally good for a goal having scored five times in three games this season. Both teams have scored in nine of their last 11 competitive games and they have scored in 10 of those.

A Peterhead goal is unlikely to be much more than a consolation effort, however, and a 3-1 win for Hibs is the correct score pick. David Gray’s men will be looking to respond after the loss to Kelty and they have managed 10 goals in total across their three League Cup games, so they can win reasonably comfortably against Peterhead even if they do concede.
