Atalanta vs Fiorentina Predictions
- Fiorentina have lost two of their last four away league games and are likely to be hurting after their Conference League Final defeat
- Atalanta have won their last three games in a row and their last three home Serie A matches
- Ademola Lookman has scored four goals in his last two appearances for Atalanta
Fiorentina unlikely to spoil Atalanta’s party
Two sides coming off contrasting fortunes in European finals meet in the final Serie A game of the season on Sunday when Atalanta host Fiorentina in Bergamo.
The home side will have had almost two weeks of celebrations following their Europa League win over Bayer Leverkusen while the visitors will still be feeling sick after losing Wednesday’s Conference League Final in Greece.
Gian Piero Gasperini’s side will be in party mode having just paraded the trophy around their home city a couple of days before, but that does not necessarily mean they are unbackable at heavy odds on.
Look no further than Lookman
That is because Fiorentina have nothing to play for either and may not be in the mood to spoil the atmosphere at Gewiss Stadium. Vincenzo Italiano’s side were made to pay for their profligacy in extra time by Olympiakos and La Viola cannot be trusted to score in this game either with Atalanta having just kept three clean sheets in a row.
La Dea have beaten Lecce 2-0, Leverkusen 3-0 and Torino 3-0 in their last three games and can win this with at least two goals in the clash too.
Ademola Lookman, their hat-trick hero in Dublin, will surely start and looks well worth backing to get on the scoresheet again after firing a total of seven goals in his last 10 appearances.
