Euro 2024 hopefuls look difficult to separate

Some international friendlies in the run-up to big tournaments can be one-sided if they feature a team of qualifiers against an outfit looking forward to sitting on a beach, but this one between the eastern European neighbours could prove to be a tight affair.

Neither Ukraine or Poland are expected to go very far in Germany this summer, especially the Poles who find themselves in a tough section that includes France and teh Netherland, but they at least head into competition in strong form.
