Czechia vs Kosovo Predictions
- Czech Republic haven’t lost at home since 2022
- The hosts are going to World Cup 2026, Kosovo missed out
- Kosovo have lost their last two away friendlies
Czechs looking to build for World Cup
The Czech Republic play their penultimate World Cup 2026 warm-up game on Sunday against a Kosovo side who came agonisingly close to qualifying for the summer showpiece.
The Czechs final preparation assignment is against Guatemala in the USA, so this game represents a chance for the home crowd to give them a bit of a send off.
Kosovo lost to Turkey in the World Cup play-offs and may struggle for motivation here, so a home win looks a strong play here as the Czech players will be eager to make an impression with starting spots potentially up for grabs.
The Czechs haven’t been beaten at home since 2022 – a run stretching 19 games (W16, D3) – and they should be able to pick up a confidence boosting victory over Kosovo.
Clean sheets have been a bit of an issue for the hosts with just two in their last five games, and those shut-outs came against minnows San Marino and Gibraltar. Kosovo may be able to get on the scoresheet so a 2-1 home win seems a reasonable correct score prediction.
