Draw

Reason for tip

Six of the last 10 Serie clashes between these clubs have been drawn and the sides, separated by one point and one place in the table, look evenly matched on paper. Juve can be special going forward, but look ordinary elsewhere while Atalanta have a solid midfield and defence.

Draw 2-2

Reason for tip

A draw appeals given the recent frequency in the two clubs’ head-to-head meetings. Two of the six recent draws have finished 2-2 alongside one 3-3 classic and three contests that saw each team score one goal each. Atalanta have scored multiple goals in both home league games so far this season while Juventus have scored at least two goals in all three of their away Serie A contests to date.

Atalanta vs Juventus Predictions

  • Atalanta have scored in all six of their Serie A matches this season, including multiple goals in both home games
  • Juventus have scored at least two goals in all three of their away league games to date
  • Six of the last 10 Serie clashes between these clubs have been drawn

La Dea looking to overhaul Juve

Atalanta host Juventus on Sunday with La Vecchia Signora fully in their sights at just one place and one point above them in the early standings.

La Dea have been in better recent form, winning four of their last five games in all competitions but recent history between these two points to a draw being the most likely outcome.

Six of the last ten meetings have seen the points shared with only one of those draws being a 0-0, which suggests there should be goals.

Closely-fought clash should not be a stale affair

The recent formlines also indicate this will not be a stale affair with Atalanta hitting multiple goals in all three of their home games in all competitions while Juve have struck at least twice in all three of their Serie A road trips.

They looked good going forward in last week’s 4-2 upset loss against Sassuolo with the pairing of Dusan Vlahovic and Federico Chiesa showing their chemistry again, but elsewhere the team can look pretty ordinary.

Atalanta, for whom midfielders Teun Koopmeiners and Ederson have been fantastic, can get their rewards in a game that could well finish 2-2. Two of the six recent draws have finished that way alongside one 3-3 classic and three contests that were drawn with one goal apiece.
