Champions Barca can sign off in style

Barcelona have been worthy champions of La Liga this season and they can sign off with a win away to Athletic Bilbao at the San Mames on Sunday.

Although Barca will be frustrated to not be appearing in next Saturday’s Champions League final, it has been a superb season domestically.

They defeated rivals Real Madrid in the final of the Copa del Rey in April and have also overpowered Los Blancos in the La Liga title race.

Barca have already wrapped up the title but will want to finish the season on a positive note, having slipped up in a 3-2 defeat to Villarreal in their last home game of the campaign.

Athletic being overrated in final game of the season

Although an early red card in the first leg and injuries did not help, the fact Athletic lost 7-1 on aggregate to a poor Manchester United side in the Europa League semi-finals has to be questioned.

They have won three league games on the spin but those victories were only against Alaves, Getafe and Valencia and they are being overrated by bookmakers in this game.
