Athletic Bilbao vs Linense Betting Tips

The Basque side lead 2-0 from the 1st Leg when  Kike Sola and Aymeric Laporte struck early on to give Athletic the advantage and all but kill off the tie within 20 minutes. Athletic reached the final of this competition last year and could be strong contenders again especially with Real Madrid already out.

They will though have to play a bit of a balancing act if they are to maintain a challenge on 3 fronts and they are certain to make wholesale changes again here, as they did in the 1st leg. However as they demonstrated during a comfortable progression from the Europa League group stages, they are capable of mixing things up and still getting impressive results.

Linense are arguably the worst side left in the competition. They are struggling in the Segunda B and lost 3-0 at home to Sevilla’s B side only a few weeks ago although they have won both league games since the 1st leg to move out of the relegation zone.

Given they play in a lower division than Athletic’s reserve side, the Basques could leave as many as 15 players out and still win comfortably here. They will probably still involve one or two senior players so as not to take any risks but backing them at Evens with a -2.0 Asian Handicap looks good value here.

It’s hard to see this being anything but a comfortable home win and you can back Athletic to win 3-0 at 11/2.
