Atlanta United vs Nashville SC Predictions
- Atlanta United are undefeated in their last three MLS games.
- Atlanta United have won their last three MLS home contests.
- Less than three goals have been scored in each of Nashville SC’s last four MLS matches.
Atlanta can give Nashville the blues
Atlanta United can leapfrog Nashville and move into the Eastern Conference’s top four with a win as Nashville look to maintain their unbeaten start to the season.
The Five Stripes silenced the Seattle Sounders last week with a late penalty equaliser in a 1-1 draw at Lumen Field.
That was the second straight game where Gabriel Heinze’s side had struck late following their 90th minute winner at home to Montreal.
Although not the prettiest team in the league, Atlanta are fast-becoming mentality monsters in the mould of their Argentine coach.
It would be far too stressful to back against them right now even if their opponents possess the kind of form that Nashville bring into the contest.
Undefeated this season, Gary Smith’s side have shown similar traits – twice rescuing a point from two goals down.
And four consecutive clean sheets in the MLS is a pretty mean accomplishment even if they have only scored three themselves in that period.
That dry spell has come about during a time when Smith has deployed a 4-4-2 system but he is expected to revert back to his favoured 4-2-3-1 this weekend.
Considering Nashville have drawn four of their six games this season, we think this is the sort of matchup that Draw No Bet was built for with Atlanta getting our vote on the count of their home form.
