Minnesota United vs Los Angeles FC Predictions
- Four of Minnesota’s last five matches have featured over 3.5 goals
- LAFC have failed to score in only one of their last seven assignments
- These clubs have drawn 12 MLS games between them this season
Goals on the cards at Allianz Field
Los Angeles FC pulled off a big 3-0 win over St Louis City last time out but they have been struggling to keep pace at the top of the Western Conference and punters should not rush to back them away to Minnesota United.
Prior to that win, LAFC had lost three and drawn one of their previous four matches and the MLS Cup holders do not look as formidable as they did last season.
Their opponents Minnesota are trying to break into the playoff spots, so are not exactly setting the division alight either but they have goals in them and could make this clash at Allianz Field an entertaining spectacle.
Star creative outlet Emmanuel Reynoso is back in the Minnesota team after missing the first few months of the season and he combined well with new designated player Teemu Pukki last time out.
The former Norwich star got on the scoresheet as Minnesota won 3-0 away to Houston Dynamo and that was the third time in four matches that Minnesota have scored at least twice.
With that in mind, backing goals could be the way to go in this one with over 3.5 goals a decent bet.
Neither side makes massive appeal in the results market but they have drawn 12 games between them in MLS this season, so 2-2 looks like a worthwhile correct score prediction.
