Auxerre’s struggles to continue

Toulouse can take the away win and add to Auxerre’s recent woes when they visit Stade de l’Abbe-Deschamps on Sunday.

They are five places above Auxerre in the table, but just three points separate the two sides. Auxerre are 15th with one win and three defeats, while Toulouse sit tenth with two wins and two losses.

Auxerre lost 2-1 to Monaco last weekend in their last Ligue 1 game and have now lost all three of the games this season in which they’ve shipped the first goal. Lassine Sinayoko hit the back of the net for Auxerre’s only goal on 53 minutes and they were priced as 18/5 outsiders to win the game.

Auxerre are struggling for form at the moment, having failed to win in three Ligue 1 games and losing five of their last seven. They have lost their last three matches.

Toulouse, on the other hand, have found the net in their last seven league games, scoring at least twice in four of those. They even managed to score three times in a 6-3 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain last month.

The hosts have looked vulnerable at the back, with Auxerre failing to keep a clean sheet in eight of their last ten Ligue 1 games, including five of their last seven at home.

Backing Auxerre’s opponents during their current run of five defeats in seven Ligue 1 games would have resulted in a profit of 2.76 units.

Toulouse can edge this, with a 1-0 correct score in favour of the visitors looking like a decent bet. The last Ligue 1 head-to-head between these sides produced four goals, but four of the previous five went under 2.5 goals and Auxerre have been beaten by a single goal in their last two matches.
