Hosts’ winning streak to come to a close

PSV have won their last ten Eredivisie road games and they can put an end to AZ’s winning streak when they visit AFAS Stadion on Sunday.

They are second in the Eredivisie, one place above AZ, with nine wins and just one loss from their 11 games this season. The hosts are in third, having won seven and lost once.

PSV kept up their recent winning trend with a 5-2 win over Fortuna Sittard last week, although they conceded the opening goal for the third game running. They have won seven of the eight games this season in which they’ve shipped the first goal (88%).

PSV are in excellent form, having won 17 of their last 20 Eredivisie matches and tasted defeat just once in the last ten games.

They have been impeccable on their travels, winning all five of their Eredivisie away games this season.

The home side look frail defensively. AZ have conceded in nine of their last ten Eredivisie home games and have failed to keep a clean sheet in all five of their home matches this season.

The visitors will be confident of finding the net, with PSV having scored three or more goals in three of their last four Eredivisie games. They have scored in seven consecutive matches, including a 5-2 victory over Fortuna Sittard last week.

With both teams having found the net in five of the last seven Eredivisie games between these sides and PSV having won two of their last three league games by a single goal, a 2-1 away win for PSV looks like a decent correct-score bet.
