PSV looking irrepressible in Eredivisie

There is just no stopping PSV in the Eredivisie this season and they can maintain their 100 per cent record when they visit third-placed AZ Alkmaar on Sunday.

PSV have laid down a marker in the Dutch top flight this term, winning each of their opening 15 games to establish a ten-point lead at the summit.

They have scored an eye-watering 52 goals – an average of 3.5 per game – and have conceded only six and they should be in high spirits ahead of Sunday’s match.

Following their exceptional start in the league, PSV also managed to secure a spot in the last 16 of the Champions League, finishing second in their group, which they concluded with a respectable 1-1 draw against Arsenal on Tuesday.

AZ licking wounds after European setback

They are a terrific bet to win this game against AZ Alkmaar, who had a less successful time in Europe during the week, having lost 2-0 to Legia Warsaw to crash out of the Europa Conference League in the group stage.

Already in December, AZ have been held to a draw by Utrecht and lost 2-1 to NEC and they are 12 points adrift of PSV in the league standings.

The visitors should be comfortable enough winners, although punters should not expect a drubbing given AZ have only shipped ten league goals themselves.

With that in mind, a bet on a 2-0 win to PSV could also be a way to go.
