Barca can brush aside Celta

Celta Vigo claimed a 2-1 win over Barcelona in the final round of fixtures last season to secure survival, but a repeat result on Saturday seems unlikely.

The Catalan giants are unbeaten in La Liga with 13 points from a possible 15, winning each of their last five games in all competitions after opening the season with a draw.

Handicap markets stand out

Barcelona are unsurprisingly the heavy favourites here so backing the home side to cover a fairly modest -1 handicap is perhaps the best option.

Barca crushed Belgium’s Antwerp 5-0 in the Champions League in midweek and beat real Betis by the same scoreline in their last league outing, so they should be able to beat a Celta side who have three defeats in five league games with some room to spare.

The visitors have faced Real Madrid this season and only lost 1-0 at home to the early pacesetters so Barca may not win by a huge margin, however, and a 3-0 win for the hosts looks a reasonable correct score prediction – as Barca are averaging 2.6 goals-per-game and Celta have drawn blanks in all three of their losses.

Robert Lewandowski will always stand out as a possible scorer but Joao Felix could be the value pick here. The Portuguese forward scored twice against Antwerp and now has four goals in his last three appearance for club and country after joining on loan from Atletico Madrid.
