      Barrow vs Chester Predictions

After being promoted as champions from the Conference North last season, Barrow have made a respectable start to life in the Conference National.

They did only win one of their opening five games, but since then they have upped their game and started campaigning for relegation survival.

They have won three, drawn two, and lost two of their last seven league games, taking their points tally to 18 from 14 games and leaving them in 17th position in the table.

Chester have only picked up one more point than the home side and sit in 14th position. Chester could move as high 10th with a win on Tuesday whilst Barrow can move up to 11th.

Chester finished last season in 12th position in the Conference National, and so far this season there is little to suggest that that position will be changing drastically this term.

They started their season with a four match unbeaten streak, but have since gone a bit downhill and have only won three of their last ten league games.

Five of these games have ended in defeat for Chester, and they have lost four of their last five away games in the Conference.

Barrow’s home record is pretty decent as well, despite them losing recently against Kidderminster. They have won four of their seven home matches this season and there defeat to Kidderminster is the only time they have lost.

Only two of these games have ended with three or more goals, but Chester have seen goalfests in four of their last five away matches. To be fair though, all of those goalfests have been a result of Chester’s poor defence, and Barrow don’t have the best attack having only scored more than one goal in a match on two occasions in their 14 league matches.

I think Barrow have the best chance of winning this match, and odds of 11/10 for them to emerge victors look like good value. However, with Barrow’s poor attack on show against a Chester side who are awful away from home I think Under 2.5 Goals at 3/4 is the better bet. I’m also backing a 1-0 win for Barrow at 13/2
