BATE Borisov vs Neman Grodno Predictions
- BATE have won to nil in six of their last eight league meetings with Neman Grodno.
- BATE have kept a clean sheet in each of their last four Belarus Premier League matches.
- Neman Grodno are yet to score a goal away from home in the 2020 season.
- BATE’s last two competitive games have ended in 2-0 victories.
BATE return to form after difficult start
BATE Borisov’s shock at losing the Belarus Premier League title for the first time in almost 15 years seemed to negatively affect the start of their 2020 campaign, but after a few difficult weeks the Champions League regulars look to have rediscovered their form.
Midweek saw them overturn a first leg deficit in the Belarus Cup, beating Slavia 2-0 at the Borisov Arena to book their place in the final. This extended their unbeaten streak to four matches, and they will be expected to continue in that vein on form on Sunday.
Visitors struggle on their travels
Neman Grodno haven’t made themselves easy to beat this season, though. Their 3-0 triumph over Energetik-BGU last weekend leaves them 10th in the table but, with things so tight at this stage of the season, an unexpected win on Sunday could see them rocket up to 3rd.
The visitors have lost twice this term though, with both of those defeats coming away from home. In fact, they are yet to win an away game in 2020 and haven’t managed to score a single goal in their three attempts.
BATE set to extend winning record over Neman Grodno
This will come as good news to BATE, who have returned to their defensively solid ways. They uncharacteristically conceded five goals in their opening two league matches, but they they haven’t conceded a single league goal in their last four outings and have conceded just one in their last six in all competitions.
BATE have won three of their last four in all competitions, and they haven’t lost to Neman Grodno in the league since 2013. They have won 11 top flight meetings with them, and even more impressively they have won to nil in six of their last eight league meetings.
This, combined with BATE’s return to form and Neman Grodno’s absent scoring record away from home, makes backing BATE win to nil look very appealing. BATE have won their last two games 2-0 as well and have scored seven goals in their last four competitive outings, so a 2-0 correct score prediction looks a good choice.
