Leverkusen closing in on maiden crown

The gap at the top of the Bundesliga is widening with Bayer Leverkusen now eight points clear of Bayern and long odds-on to secure their first ever German top-flight title after a series of narrow misses.

Xabi Alonso’s side are yet to taste defeat from their 22 league matches this season, winning 18 times and conceding only 15 goals along the way.
