Bayern can build on Bremen battering

Bayern Munich put their German Supercup disappointment behind them with a 4-0 thrashing of Werder Bremen in their Bundesliga opener last Friday and they can follow up with victory over Bavarian rivals Augsburg.

Following their 3-0 loss to Leipzig earlier in the month, Bayern hit back last time out, racking up 25 shots, ten of which were on target, and seeing 73 per cent of the ball against Bremen.

Harry Kane marked his league debut with a goal and an assist and the defending champions look like the team to catch once again.

Goals should not be in short supply at the Allianz

Jamal Musiala will be missing this weekend but Bayern have capable deputies waiting in the wings in Serge Gnabry and Thomas Muller and should have no issue finding a way past Augsburg, who drew 4-4 with Borussia Monchengladbach last weekend.

They showed character in that contest, recovering from 2-0 and 3-1 down to lead 4-3 with only 14 minutes to go but shared the spoils in the end.
