Austria Double Chance (Win or Draw)

      Reason for tip

Belgium have failed to win four of their last nine home games and ought not to be so short in the betting. They are facing a rejuvenated Austria that have won four straight games while the Red Devils are without injured captain Kevin De Bruyne.

      Draw 1-1

      Reason for tip

Austria have returned home with a draw on their last two visits to Belgium and are starting to shape up nicely under Ralf Rangnick. They can score against a Belgium side that were knocked out in the group stage at Qatar 2022.

      Belgium vs Austria Predictions

      • Belgium have failed to win four of their last nine home games.
      • Austria have won four straight games.
      • The Red Devils are without injured captain Kevin De Bruyne

Battle of the unbeatens in Brussels

The two unbeaten nations in Group F face off on Saturday when Belgium host Austria at Stade Roi Baudouin in Brussels.

There will be no Kevin De Bruyne in the Red Devils line-up after he tore his hamstring and there could be quite a youthful look to Domenico Tedesco’s starting selection.

Eight of his squad are aged 23 or under and only one outfield player is over the age of 30 now after most of the old guard were slowly phased out.

Austria will be without some key talent too, including injured midfielder Marcel Sabitzer, but David Alaba captains a side that has now four games on the bounce.

Rangnick’s men can nick a draw

Ralf Rangnick’s methods are getting results and he can set his team up to capitalise on any errors a more youthful Belgium may make without old heads like De Bruyne to steer them.

Although their away record is downright awful, Austria are better than their 9/2 quote for victory suggests and they should give good value in the double chance market.

A 1-1 draw could be on the cards and it is worth noting that both of the last two times Austria have visited Belgium they have come away with a draw.
