- Ewood Park
- Blackburn have failed to score in three of their last four home fixtures.
- Huddersfield have drawn a blank in six of their previous 12 games.
- Six of the last nine meetings between the two sides have ended all-square.
Duo to edge further clear of trouble
Both Blackburn and Huddersfield have endured difficult second halves of the season in the Championship, with Rovers having won just two of their last 17 games, while the Terriers have registered only three wins in 21.
Those respective poor runs have seen both teams dragged perilously close to the bottom three, although Blackburn’s recent home victory over Derby has seemingly eased their relegation concerns.
However, that is the only home victory Tony Mowbray’s side have enjoyed since the end of January, while they have failed to score in three of their last four matches at Ewood Park.
Huddersfield are likely to need a few more points before they can consider themselves safe from the drop, with scoring goals having also been a problem for Carlos Corberan’s side of late, as they have drawn a blank in six of their last 12 games.
It appears both sides would be happy if the season ended now, and we are predicting a draw on Saturday which would edge both teams closer to safety.
Draws have been a familiar theme in this fixture over recent times, with six of the last nine clashes ending all-square, while our prediction of under 2.5 goals reflects both sides’ lack of form in terms of results and scoring goals.
