      Blackburn vs Nottingham Forest Predictions

This is a similar sort of challenge to the one that Forest faced away to another mid-table side on Friday when they drew 1-1 at Molineux. Trailing for most of the game, they grabbed what on the balance of play was a deserved leveller with 10 minutes to go thanks to an excellent volleyed finish from substitute Dexter Blackstock.

The result means Forest have taken 10 points from their last 5 matches and it is a much needed upturn in form given they weren’t having a great season prior to that.

They face another in-form team here in Blackburn Rovers though. Since Paul Lambert took charge they have taken 10 points from 4 games to move away danger and the fringes of the play-off picture.

However the Scottish boss hasn’t had the toughest of fixtures which have helped contribute to his successful honeymoon period. Their 3 wins since Lambert took charge have all come against sides in the bottom 8 and they weren’t entirely convincing at Ewood on Friday night when they were reliant on an own goal to provide them with a 1-0 win against relegation-threatened Rotherham.

This will be a much tougher match against a Nottingham Forest side that are playing with plenty of confidence right now and Forest look good value at 3/4 to at least avoid defeat in this one.

They haven’t won any of their last 5 on the road though so they might not have quite enough to seal the 3 points here and much like their game at Wolves on Friday this has all the makings of a draw.

Both clubs should have enough to comfortably beat the drop but are both perhaps lacking that bit of quality or spark that can unlock doors and win tight matches of which this is likely to be one. Therefore consider backing this to finish 1-1 at 5/1.
