Blackpool to Win

Reason for tip

Hull City are in really poor form and have fallen to defeat in all of their last four away league matches. The Tigers have also only managed to score a single goal in their last three road games. Blackpool have won both of the last two meetings at this venue and have not suffered defeat to Hull City for 18 years. We think a home victory is likely.

Blackpool 2-0

Reason for tip

Hull City are likely to make the hosts work for it but at some point or another, Blackpool should be able to find a way through. The visitors have lost to nil in their last two away games and we like the hosts to win via a 2-0 scoreline.

Blackpool vs Hull City Predictions

  • Hull City have lost their last four away league matches.
  • The visitors have scored just once across their previous three road games.
  • Blackpool have won both of the last two meetings at this venue.

Tangerines looking for a more straightforward encounter

Blackpool come into this one off the back of a dramatic 3-3 draw away to Sheffield United where they saw both Dominic Thompson and Marvin Ekpiteta receive red cards. Boss Michael Appleton will hope this one is a little calmer and that his side can focus on claiming a positive result. If previous meetings are anything to go by, the Seasiders should be confident as they have not suffered defeat against the Tigers in 18 years.

The visitors are in disarray and caretaker boss Andy Dawson will surely be looking for his side to become more resolute. Their tally of 28 goals conceded is the highest in the division and they have shipped 13 goals across their previous four away road matches and it seems highly unlikely that their issues are suddenly resolved when they make the trip to Bloomfield Road.

Home win a likely outcome

Despite being without a couple of players due to suspension, we think the hosts should do more than enough to emerge victorious in this one and will back them to get the win.
