Bologna vs Verona Predictions

Bologna are without a win in their last five matches, including losing their last two matches to Inter Milan and Atalanta, so the visit of the worst team in the league might be just what they need to lift their current funk. Bologna are just about holding on to a place in the top half of Serie A and that would represent a successful season for the club, but if they are to avoid slipping down the table they will have to get back to winning ways soon, with three draws in a row not good enough at Stadio Renato Dall’Ara. Bologna have failed to score in four of their last five games, so it is hard to back them here.

It is even harder to come up with reasons to side with Verona, whose defeat to Carpi last weekend was yet another nail in their coffin. Eight points adrift at the bottom of the table, it would take a miraculous improvement in the last few weeks of the season if Luigi Delneri was to keep his side in Serie A. Luca Toni has battled manfully but the veteran striker lacks support and he has only scored five league goals this season, which is still enough to make him Verona’s joint-top scorer.

Neither of these sides are scoring goals – indeed Bologna had three successive 0-0 draws only a few weeks ago. Under 2.5 goals at 11/10 with bet365 therefore looks like a very good play for this Serie A match, the final game in the league this weekend, while the 1-1 draw at 11/2 with bet365 is recommended for those looking to play the correct scores market.
