Bolton vs Bradford Predictions
Bolton look the best bet when they host Bradford at the Toughsheet Community Stadium on Saturday. The hosts have been solid home favourites and have won their last four League One home games in which they were odds-on.
Bradford are two places above Bolton in the table, but both teams have won more games than they’ve lost this season. Bolton, who are fifth, have won seven and lost three of their 15 games, while Bradford, in third, have seven wins and two defeats. This season, 20 (45%) of the 44 games between teams in the top half of League One have been home wins.
Bolton kept up their recent winning trend with a 4-0 victory over Port Vale, making it five wins in the nine matches in which they have been odds-on this season. They were priced at 8/11 to win the game and comfortably obliged for favourite backers.
Bolton are in good form, having been unbeaten in their eight League One home games this season. They have gone nine games without defeat at home and are looking for a fourth successive win.
Goals have proven easy to come by for the hosts this season. Bolton have been impressive in front of goal at home, scoring 18 goals in eight games – an average of 2.25 goals per game. They have also averaged 1.67 goals a game in their three League One home games against other top-half teams this season.
The visitors need to turn things around – Bradford have gone five League One games without a win.
Bolton have been in fine form at home, winning their last five League One games.
They have been impressive defensively at home this season, conceding just four goals in eight League One games, while Bradford have failed to keep a clean sheet in 12 of their last 15 matches on the road.
No team in League One has played more games with three or more goals this season than Bradford, and a 2-1 home win is the correct-score pick. Bolton have won two of their last three league games by the odd goal and Bradford lost 2-1 to Burton Albion in their last game.
