      Bolton vs Sheffield Wednesday Predictions

That first win will have done them the world of good and they’ll be pleased to be back at the Macron so soon and in the knowledge that another win could fire them into the top half and banish those poor early season showings to a distant memory.

Sheffield Wednesday have effectively done the reverse. They started very well under Carlos Carvalhal, who the Owls faithful instantly took to thanks to a more attacking brand of football which was also delivering results.

However they haven’t won since the opening day in the league and have lost their last two games 3-1. In all fairness those results have come against Middlesbrough and Burnley, two sides who you’d expect to be competing for promotion come the end of the season so it’d be a bit soon to sound the alarm bells.

They’re also a bit unfortunate to be heading to Bolton at a time when they are finally starting to look a little more dangerous up front. The momentum is certainly with Bolton ahead of this game and it’d be a big shock to see them lose it now they have appeared to turn a bit of a corner.

Backing Bolton to win at 6/4 is still a bit of a risk given how few goals they’ve scored this term though but backing them to win at 8/11 in the ‘Draw No Bet’ market is a pretty safe bet against a Wednesday side who have gone a month without a win.

Buoyed by their win over Wolves though, they are capable of a repeat showing here and are worth a punt at 17/2 to win 2-1 again, which is probable given Wednesday are yet to fail to score this season despite only winning once in the league.
