Bonnyrigg Rose vs Dundee Predictions
- Dundee finished sixth in the top flight last term
- Bonnyrigg scored just one goal in four League Cup games last season
- Two of the hosts’ last four League Cup defeats have also seen them losing at half-tine
Dundee too good for hosts
Dundee had an impressive season back in the Scottish top flight last term, finishing in the top half after a strong start to their campaign. They cooled off somewhat in the second half of the season but look set up for another decent year after signing Simon Murray, who netted 23 times for Ross County last season.
They play their first game of 2024-25 against a Bonnyrigg Rose side that struggled last season in League Two. The hosts finished just three points and two places ahead of bottom side Stranraer in the fourth tier and only scored one goal in their four League Cup games last term.
Dundee could get out of the traps early and are fancied in the double result market to be leading at both half-time and full-time.
Bonnyrigg in for a tough evening
Bonnyrigg have been losing at both the half and at full-time in two of their last four defeats in this competition and their preseason results have been nothing to shout about.
The home team look set for another scrappy campaign in League Two and may fail to make an impact here.
Correct score backers should side with a 2-0 win for the Dee.
