Borussia Dortmund vs Krasnodar Predictions
Not many would have predicted such a good showing from a Borussia Dortmund side who had just lost their iconic manager Jurgen Klopp, but new boss Thomas Tuchel has done a fantastic job so far.
They are on a 13 match winning streak at the moment, and their attacking record is second to none in the Europa League.
They have scored a huge 34 goals since the competitive season began nine games ago, and not many teams can boast an average of four goals scored per game.
The most recent of these matches was a 4-2 victory away from home against Hannover in the Bundesliga which saw Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Pierre Emerick-Aubemayang add to their ever growing goals tallies this season.
These two, plus Marco Reus, have already scored a combined 22 goals in all competitions this season, with 12 of these coming in their four Europa League ties so far.
This excellent start to the season leaves them at the top of the Bundesliga with a perfect record of four wins and a greater goal difference than Bayern Munich.
If they continue this form, I can’t see anybody in this competition getting the better of them, and they must be considered the favourites to lift the Europa League trophy.
Russian side Krasnodar also managed to net four in the league at the weekend, with a 4-0 victory at home to Dinamo Moscow taking their points tally to 12 from their first eight league games. This puts them in a disappointing 6th position domestically.
They have shown that they can lack penetration in attack when they come up against decent or organised back lines, with three goalless draws already this season.
I can’t see anything but a Borussia Dortmund win in this match, but odds of 1/5 for this outcome don’t look very attractive to me. But if you add goals into the mix then things start to look better.
Dortmund have seen more than three goals scored in seven of their last eight competitive games, and at home they have scored at least three goals in each of their last four games. I think this makes odds of 5/4 for a Borussia Dortmund Win and Over 3.5 Match Goals look very attractive.
