Both Teams To Score

Reason for tip

Bosnia‑Herzegovina have scored and conceded in each of their last six matches while Italy, who have conceded 11 goals across their last five away games, have scored in eight consecutive games. Also, the Azzurri have never failed to score in five previous meetings with Bosnia-Herzegovina.

Draw 1-1

Reason for tip

Italy have always scored at least once against the Dragons and can keep that run going in Zenica, although they are less likely to keep a clean sheet on the road. Back a 1-1 draw in 90 minutes in a match which is sure to be tense and prone to controversy.

Italy are scoring consistently again

Italy travel to Zenica for a decisive World Cup play‑off knowing that victory will secure their place at USA 2026. Gennaro Gattuso’s side overcame a resolute and youthful Northern Ireland side 2-0 on Thursday to book their trip to Bosnia.

Second-half goals from Sandro Tonali and Moise Kean earned the Azzurri a deserved victory in Bergamo to extend a run that has seen them score in eight straight matches and keep three clean sheets in three of their last four.

Italy shrugged off the absences of key defender Alessandro Bastoni and striker Gianluca Scamacca, although they could be even bigger misses on Tuesday against a more experienced and dangerous Bosnia‑Herzegovina side.

Dragons can dig in for a draw

The Dragons needed penalties to get past Wales after a 1‑1 draw in Cardiff and have now failed to keep a clean sheet in any of their last six games. They have conceded an average of 1.40 goals per match across their last five and had the woodwork to thank for not conceding more than once against the Welsh.

Italy’s superior organisation and quality in midfield should give them enough of an edge but they make for little appeal at odds of around 3/5 in a hostile arena. Backing both teams to score, which has landed in five of Italy’s last eight away games, looks a better way to go.

And if the Dragons can dig in like they did against Wales, and ride their luck again, a 1-1 draw in 90 minutes could be on the cards.
