Botafogo To Win To Nil

Reason for tip

Botafogo have won all seven of their home matches to date this season in Brazilian Serie A, conceding just one goal, while it is just one league win on the road for visitors Bragantino.

Botafogo 2-0

Reason for tip

Botafogo are used to winning 2-0, with both their matches under new boss Bruno Lage finishing in that manner, as have their last three matches across all competitions, as well as their last three league fixtures at Estadio Nilton Santos.

Botafogo vs Bragantino Predictions

  • Botafogo have won all seven of their home matches in Brazilian Serie A this season
  • The host’s last three league victories on home soil have all been by a 2-0 scoreline
  • Bragantino have won just once in six away matches in the league

2-0 is the magic scoreline for Botafogo

Botafogo are threatening to run away with proceedings at the top of Brazilian Serie A after winning 12 of their opening 14 games, while they have triumphed in both matches since Bruno Lage succeeded Luis Castro as head coach.

Both of Lage’s wins have been by a 2-0 scoreline and that has been a familiar result for Botafogo of late, as their last three matches across all competitions have ended in 2-0 victories, as have their last three league fixtures at Estadio Nilton Santos.

Fogo have also won their last six home matches in the league to nil and have only conceded once on home soil all season – the Estadio Nilton Santos is certainly an intimidating venue for opposing teams to visit.

Wins hard to come by on the road for Bragantino

Bragantino will be by no means easy opponents for Botafogo to face, as the Red Bull club are enjoying a good season and have only lost one of their six away league matches.

The problem is, Pedro Caixinha’s side have also only won once on the road, while they have lost three of their previous five meetings, home or away, with Botafogo, with two of those defeats coming to nil.
