      Bournemouth vs Manchester City Predictions

Bournemouth may have lost 3-0 at Tottenham Hotspur before the international break, but that won’t have dampened their spirits too much. It was a tough ask to go to White Hart Lane and get something off an in form Spurs who are challenging for the title.

Before that they were unbeaten in four matches and had won three on the bounce, an excellent run of form which has saved them from a relegation run in that’s looming over some of the clubs above them.

In fact, this form has seen them overtake fellow promotion team Watford in the table, and they now sit in 13th position with a 12 point cushion over the relegation zone. With just three points separating them from 10th place Chelsea, a top half finish certainly isn’t out of the question for Bournemouth.

Manchester City aren’t having the best of times at the moment. They have only won one of their last six games in all competitions and have lost five of their last ten outings. Their Premier League form is even worse, with four of their last six ending in defeat and just one win since the beginning of February.

This has left their top four position in jeopardy. They are now just a point above West Ham and Manchester United in 5th and 6th respectively, and the 15 points between them and leaders Leicester effectively puts them out of the Premier League title race. It now looks a distinct possibility that Pep Guardiola will be taking over a team not participating in the Champions League next season.

They are still in this season’s competition though, and with a crucial first leg fixture away to Paris Saint Germain coming up on Wednesday we could see a rotated squad on Saturday as Manuel Pellegrini looks for his Champions League swansong.

This is all looking rather promising for Bournemouth, and the fact that Manchester City have won just two of their last 11 Premier League games on the road makes odds of 5/6 for a Bournemouth Win or Draw Double Chance even better. I’m going for that along with a 1-1 correct score prediction at 6/1.
