Bradford go into the playoffs in excellent form having won three on the bounce. This encouraging spell is further emphasized by the fact that they also thrashed playoff rivals Walsall 4-0 just a few weeks ago. City have been especially good at home this season, in fact they hold the second best home record in the league after they claimed 47 points from their 23 games at Valley Parade. With top scorer James Hanson only claiming 11 goals so far this campaign the Bantams have had to rely on having a mean defence and their record at the back does not disappoint. Phil Parkinson’s men have the second best defence in the league having only conceded 40 goals in their 46 games this campaign.

Millwall are the form team going into the playoffs having amassed an impressive 19 points from their last eight games. Neil Harris’s men are perhaps as much of the opposite of their playoff opponents as it is possible to be. They have the third best away record in the division and also the third best attack in the league having scored 73 goals in their 46 games.

This game seems like a classic attack vs defence, so it’ll be interesting to see which comes out on top. Given that the match is a playoff first leg, traditionally tight affairs, I feel that will play into Bradford’s hands rather than there opponents. I feel that given they are so strong at home, they will be able to blunt the Millwall attack and possibly take a narrow lead into the second leg.
