Bradford vs Sheffield United Predictions
The Blades head here on the back of two disappointing home defeats against Bury and Colchester United. They scored in both games but still sunk to 2-1 and 3-2 defeats respectively. They’ve been a highly unpredictable side this season, with 4 wins on the trot following their shock 4-0 thumping at Gillingham on the opening day.
Quite which Sheffield United shows up here it’s hard to know but there is usually plenty of action when they are involved. Both teams have scored in each of Bradford’s last two games and they too are looking a bit more threatening going forward at the moment after a slow start.
20 year old Devante Cole has come into the side following his summer move from MK Dons and immediately looked a threat with 2 goals in 3 games so far for the club. He provides much needed support to James Hanson and gives Bradford a duel threat up front which could test Sheffield United’s sometimes shaky defence to the limit.
Sheffield United have netted 12 goals in 7 games and rarely fail to find the net though so certainly backing both teams to score in this one at 4/5 looks like a smart bet.
Bradford have a habit of turning it on for the big games and this will certainly be their biggest home league game of the season against local rivals and perhaps the biggest club in the division. If they can turn it into a cup-tie kind of atmosphere you’d fancy them to do the business and consign Sheffield United to a 3rd straight defeat.
It’s likely to be close though as the bookies don’t reckon there is much to choose between these two. If you’re looking for a correct score bet consider going for the home side to win 2-1 at 9/1.
