Braga 3-0

Reason for tip

Vizela have failed to score in two of their last three games and could struggle to net against a Braga side that ground out a 1-0 win at estoril last time out. The return of defensive midfielder Vitor Carvalho is crucial as Braga have kept clean sheets in five of his last six starts. Meanwhile, Braga are averaging just under two goals per game at home, but can notch three against the league’s worst team.

Braga to earn the bagging rights in derby

Sporting Braga can keep the pressure on Porto as they attempt to break up Portugal’s big three when they face basement club Vizela in the Primeira Liga on Saturday.

Braga bounced back from their 3-0 home humiliation against Arouca when they won 1-0 at Estoril last weekend. Interim boss Rui Duarte rang the changes after suffering a big defeat in his first game in charge and his team responded with an efficient road win.

Now they will attempt to produce something more convincing against a team that have looked destined for the drop for some time.

Bank on Banza to bag

Vizela have lost nine of their last 13 league games, a run during which they sustained big defeats to Sporting Club (2-5), Benfica (1-6) and Porto (1-4).

It is possible that of Braga get an early goal this clash could turn into a landslide victory for the Archbishops, but a more likely outcome is that the hosts do not score more than three.

Despite the presence of 21-goal striker Simon Banza in their ranks, Braga have only twice scored more than three times at home all season. Banza has scored 10 in his last 10 games for the club though and looks a solid play in anytime goalscorer betting.
