Both Teams To Score

Reason for tip

Brest have won seven of their last nine games in all competitions and they’ve taken seven points from three home Champions League games, scoring in each. Real Madrid are in scoring form but they’ve also conceded nine times in their last five matches and BTTS has landed in four of their last five Champions League outings.

Real Madrid 2-1

Reason for tip

Real are expected to concede in this clash but they should prove too strong for Brest, with the visitors winning four of their seven European games, along with scoring 12 games across their last three victories.

Rodrygo To Score Anytime

Reason for tip

With Vinicius Jr ruled out, Rodrygo is the most appealing anytime goalscorer option. The Brazilian scored twice in a win over Salzburg last week, while he has scored in six of his previous nine appearances for Real.

Brest vs Real Madrid Predictions

  • Real Madrid have conceded in all seven games in the Champions League this season
  • Brest have taken seven points from three home games, scoring in each
  • Rodrygo has scored in six of his last nine matches

Real face long road to the final

Since they won their 10th Champions League title in 2014, rarely a season has passed where Real Madrid haven’t been serious Champions League contenders. However, the Spanish giants face their longest path to the final this season, as they’re 16th in the standings and set to feature in next month’s playoff round.

Real head to a Brest side who have built on last season’s surprise Ligue 1 campaign to sit 13th in the standings, level on points with eighth-placed Bayer Leverkusen. The French side have taken seven points from their first three home games in Europe this term, scoring in each of those games.

Real appear to have clicked into gear in recent weeks, as they’ve beaten Las Palmas 4-1, Salburg 5-1 and Valladolid 3-0 across their last three games. However, the Spaniards have conceded in all seven of their games in the Champions League this season, while they’ve kept one clean sheet in their last five across all competitions.

The visitors have plenty of attacking firepower, including Kylian Mbappe returning to France. However, it’s Rodrygo who is the standout goalscorer option here, with the Brazilian scoring in six of his last nine matches, including a brace against Salzburg last week.
