Brighton vs Leeds Predictions
Barring a blip in Cardiff, the Seagulls have really found their feet again, helped by some smart January business and once again look genuine promotion contenders. Their 4-0 win at Bristol City in midweek demonstrated their increased goal threat and they’ve won 5 of their last 7 matches to cement themselves in 4th place just 3 points off top spot.
Meanwhile Leeds have lost their way a little and haven’t won any of their last 4 games. Lewis Cook’s goal in their 1-1 draw with Fulham in midweek was their only goal in that period and although they have a big cushion on the bottom 3, it looks like their season could well end end with another uninspiring bottom half finish. They have only lost 4 of their 15 away league games which gives them some hope coming here but with Brighton playing well, they may find this tough.
The Seagulls will come into the game with plenty of confidence from their 4-0 win, which was the perfect repost to their 4-1 defeat at Cardiff last weekend. They’ve won their last 3 home games, scoring 8 goals in the process and therefore could be too hot for Leeds here with the visitors lacking much of an attacking threat. Leeds have managed to score at least once in 4 of their last 5 on the road though and seem a little more confident away from home than at Elland Road in front of their expectant home fans. Therefore it could be close but backing Brighton to win 2-1 at 15/2 looks a good shout, especially given Brighton’s recent record against Leeds.
