Brisbane Roar, after their impressive start to the season, have dropped off the boil slightly in the last few weeks.

Wellington Phoenix’s total sits at 14 points from their opening nine games, so a win for the visitors on Saturday could see them move as high as 2^nd in the table.

Phoenix’s form has been pretty patchy so far this season, with a number of good results being broken up by the odd defeat.

But this patchy form has started declining in recent weeks. They have only won twice in their last six A-League games, drawing twice and losing twice to make up the rest of the results.

Past meetings between these two sides have been fairly even recently. The last five matches have seen Wellington Phoenix win three times and Brisbane Roar take all three points twice.

I think Brisbane Roar could level the scores on Saturday. They have won three of their four home matches so far this season, with the only failure to win being a 1-1 draw against Perth Glory.

Wellington Phoenix managed to beat Perth Glory in their first away match of the season, but since then they have failed to win any of their four matches on the road.

I’m backing Brisbane Roar to win on Saturday, and odds of 19/20 for this outcome look pretty appealing to me.
