Under 2.5 Match Goals

Reason for tip

All seven of Burnley’s home league games this season have gone under 2.5 goals and another cagey contest would give them a chance of picking up a positive result, something that looks assured given the pressure on Parker. One or both teams have failed to score in four of Fulham’s last eight top-flight matches to offer further hope.

Draw 1-1

Reason for tip

There have been only 12 goals scored across Burnley’s seven home league fixtures and backing 1-1 – three of the last four Premier League meetings between the pair at Turf Moor have finished in score draws – could be the way to profit.

Burnley vs Fulham Predictions

  • All seven of Burnley’s home league games have gone under 2.5 goals
  • Burnley are unbeaten in six meetings with Fulham
  • The Cottagers have won only one of their seven away league matches

Cottagers set for a battle

Scott Parker gets set to lead his struggling Burnley side into battle with one of his former employers Fulham and another defeat for the Clarets could leave them in a precarious position in their bid to avoid Premier League relegation.

A 2-1 loss at Newcastle last Saturday made it six straight defeats for Burnley and leaves them second from bottom, five points adrift of safety.

However, as well as the Magpies, Burnley have also played Arsenal and Chelsea in that run and they should be much more competitive against an inconsistent Fulham outfit that have won only five of their 15 top-flight matches.

The Cottagers were 2-1 winners in their last away game at Tottenham but that is their only success from seven outings on the road, with them suffering five defeats while also being taken to penalties by Wycombe in the EFL Cup.

However, home reverses to Manchester City and Crystal Palace have preceded that win at Spurs and Fulham have failed to win on all eight of their trips to Turf Moor since 2000.

A 5-4 loss when hosting Manchester City looks good but the Cottagers were 3-0 down and 5-1 down before the Citizens took their foot off the pedal and they look tough to trust at odds-on.

Desperate Clarets could stand firm

Parker has called on his Burnley players to embrace their “horrible” side in a must-win encounter and they look overpriced to pick up a positive result, especially with home wins over Leeds and Sunderland and a draw with Nottingham Forest show that they are capable of mixing it with the Premier League’s lesser lights.

All seven of Burnley’s home league games this season have gone under 2.5 goals and another cagey contest would give them a chance of picking up a positive result, something that looks assured given the pressure on Parker.

That looks the best bet on offer and one or both teams have failed to score in four of Fulham’s last eight top-flight matches to offer further hope.
