Burnley vs Wolves Predictions
Burnley have taken everyone at the top end of the Championship by surprise with their blistering run of form which has seen them go from play-off hopefuls to red hot title favourites in the space of a couple of months. The Clarets are unbeaten in 14 games in the league and have won all of their last 6 including a 3-1 win at Huddersfield last weekend. They go into the weekend 6 points clear at the top and if they can keep this form going a little while longer the other teams will be powerless to prevent them ascending to the promised land of the Premier League.
Wolves are heading for a mid-table finish and have taken 7 points from their last 4 matches following a poor run of form. They are up to 12th place and would like a strong end to the season to give themselves some momentum going into next season, which will be their 3rd back at this level following their solitary season in League One. Those 7 points have all come at home though and they have lost all of their last 3 matches on the road so they won’t travel with much confidence.
Confidence is sky high in the Burnley camp right now and they are playing like a side that believes they are heading for promotion. They have scored 3 or more goals in 6 of their matches so far in 2016 and have the best goalscoring record in the division and the best goal difference thanks to some very comfortable wins. Wolves will make them work hard here but it is hard to see any result other than a home win the way Burnley are playing and they should have enough extra quality to secure a 2 goal margin so consider backing Burnley -1.0 Asian Handicap at 2.050.
