Bolton to Win and Under 2.5 Match Goals

      Reason for tip

Burton have won just two of their ten League One matches this term, and with scoring goals a major problem, they look vulnerable to a Bolton side who have won four of their last six meetings between these two. Wanderers can edge a low-scoring encounter.

      Bolton 1-0

      Reason for tip

Burton are the lowest scorers on home soil in League One this term and recent meetings between these two have been shy of goals. Three of the last five meetings have featured no more than two, while Albion have scored just twice in front of their own fans this season in the league.

      Burton Albion vs Bolton Predictions

      • Bolton have lost just two of their 14 matches in all competitions this term
      • Burton have scored just two goals in five home League One matches this season
      • Three of the last five meetings have featured under 2.5 goals

Brewers’ droop to continue against efficient Trotters

Bolton Wanderers have been held back by draws in League One so far this term but we predict a narrow victory for the highflying Trotters at Burton this weekend.

Stephen Schumacher’s side begin the weekend in eight spot, but things could have looked even rosier if they had managed to turn at least a couple of their five draws into three points.

That’s just under a half of their league fixtures which have yielded just one point but they should be able to secure all three with a visit to lowly Burton.

The Brewers currently sit in 21st place with just nine points to show for their efforts and it is clear to see where their problems lie.

Goalscoring has proved a major concern for Gary Bowyer’s boys, who have managed just seven goals across their ten league fixtures, with only two scored at home.

And their record in this fixture isn’t particularly great either, so backing Bolton to win in a low-scoring affair looks the way to go, while punters are pointed to a 1-0 away win for a correct-score interest.

Three of the last five meetings have featured under 2.5 goals, while Bolton haven’t managed more than one goal in any of their five away fixtures this term in all competitions, so don’t expect the floodgates to open at the Pirelli Stadium on Saturday.
