Valencia to Win

Reason for tip

Cadiz have won just one of their last eight matches, a run that includes three successive defeats at home, whereas Valencia head into this fixture on the back of successive wins for the first time since March 2022, while they have also won four of their last nine outings

Valencia 2-0

Reason for tip

Cadiz have conceded exactly two goals in four of their last ten matches, including three 2-0 defeats. Valencia won 2-0 at Elche in their last away game, the second successive fixture in which they have netted exactly twice

Cadiz vs Valencia Predictions

  • Cadiz are on a run of one win in eight
  • Valencia have picked up four victories in their last nine matches
  • Cadiz have suffered three successive defeats at home

Will Cadiz be plunged back into danger?

Cadiz looked safe from relegation at one stage this season, but a run of one win in their last eight outings has plunged them right back into trouble.

Of a particular concern to manager Sergio will be a run of three successive losses on home soil, including a 2-0 defeat at the hands of fellow strugglers Sevilla.

An ever-growing injury list is a further issue, added to of late by defender Fali, as is the fact they have won just two of their last 13 clashes against visitors Valencia, suffering seven defeats in the process.

Valencia showing signs of a revival

It’s taken numerous changes of manager, but Valencia are finally looking up the table, and a win over Real Valladolid on Thursday moved them out of the relegation zone at last.

That was not just a fourth victory in nine outings for Los Che, secured by Javier Guerra Moreno’s injury time goal, but it was also the first time they have registered back-to-back successes since March 2022.

Rubén Baraja will now be hoping they can make it three in a row, and they should be confident in doing so after ending a seven game losing streak on the road by beating Elche in their last away game.

I predict that Valencia will win this game, with a 2-0 victory my correct score prediction.
