Cambridge United vs Rotherham Predictions

  • Rotherham have not tasted defeat in any of their previous 20 games and have won their last four.
  • Cambridge United have scored at least once in their last eight home games.
  • The home side have won just once in their last eight home league matches.

Uphill task for Cambridge United

The hosts will be looking to bounce back as they suffered a loss last time out against Charlton Athletic, but to do so, they’ll need to end their opponents 20-match unbeaten run. They sit 16th in the table coming into this one and they’re just seven points away from the relegation zone. They’ll need to come flying out of the blocks in order to put Rotherham on the backfoot, but considering they’ve failed to score in the opening 15 minutes of any home match this season, it could be a tall order. The U’s have lost just once in their last eight home games in all competitions so boss Mark Bonner will be hopeful that his side can cause a few problems here.

Top of the table Rotherham United makes the trip to the Abbey Stadium looking to continue their fine form. The Millers have been unbelievable, they’ve not tasted defeat since early September, 20 games ago and have scored eight goals in their last two fixtures. It’s thanks to their incredible form that they sit top of the league. However, they can’t take their foot off the pedal just yet as they have just a two-point lead over second-placed Wigan Athletic but have played a game more. They need to continue putting wins together.

Rotherham to be just too good

The hosts have been rather good on home soil of late, and it’s that form they’ll rely on. We think they’ll get on the scoresheet but in the end, the champions-elect will be just too good for them and claim victory, possibly via a 2-1 scoreline.
