Cardiff too strong for Millers

Cardiff should be backed to get a home win over Rotherham on Saturday. The visitors have made a mixed start to the season and Cardiff manager Brian Barry-Murphy will be hopeful of getting a result against Matthew Hamshaw’s side.

Rotherham finished 13th in League One last season, whilst Cardiff were relegated from the Championship.

The Bluebirds drew 0-0 with Port Vale in their last League One outing, failing to reward their backers as 11/8 favourites.

However, they restricted the hosts to just one shot on target, and are perhaps best judged on their 2-1 win over Peterborough in their season opener, where they dominated both possession and the shot count.

After an opening win over Port Vale, Rotherham lost to Stevenage last time out. Their defence is far from solid, with the visitors failing to keep a clean sheet in their last four League One away games.

A 1-0 win for Cardiff looks a decent correct-score choice. Rotherham have lost 1-0 on two of their last three League One road trips and had nine 1-0 losses in the league last term.
