Wycombe Wanderers Double Chance (Win or Draw)
Cardiff vs Wycombe Wanderers Predictions
- Wycombe have only lost one of their last six Championship games.
- Only four teams have collected more points than Wycombe across their last six matches.
- Cardiff have only picked up one win from their last nine fixtures.
- The Bluebirds have drawn each of their last three games.
Wycombe to maintain improved form
Wycombe may well have left their push to avoid the drop a little too late, but the Chairboys’ recent form is still noteworthy, as they have only lost one of their last six Championship games.
That has moved Gareth Ainsworth’s side to within six points of safety, with only four teams having collected more points in the division than Wycombe over the last six games.
Indeed, Wycombe have accumulated five more points than Cardiff over the same period, with the Bluebirds’ playoff hopes long since disappeared following a run of one win in nine.
Mick McCarthy’s side have also failed to win any of their last four home fixtures, with three of those four matches having come against teams currently sitting in the bottom-half of the table.
Cardiff have at least proved harder to beat over recent weeks, as they have drawn three of their last four games.
The Bluebirds have also never lost a home match against Wycombe, although the Chairboys did claim a 2-1 victory when the two teams met in the reverse fixture at Adams Park back in December.
Our prediction is for Wycombe to maintain their improved form on Saturday, although we are predicting the double chance, given Cardiff’s impressive home record in the fixture, as well as their recent run of draws.
