Carpi vs Roma Predictions
They battled extremely hard, but Carpi couldn’t pull out any points in back-to-back away games against Fiorentina and Napoli. They lost 2-1 to the former and 1-0 last weekend to the current league leaders. Prior to that they had gone three games unbeaten, but they need to keep racking up the points, they are third from bottom and five points adrift from 17th place Sampdoria.
It doesn’t necessarily get any easier with a visit from Roma. After a very long stretch of relative mediocrity, Roma have put some things together and are on a three-game winning streak after locking up wins over Frosinone, Sassuolo and Sampdoria. Those aren’t what most people would describe as marquee wins, but neither would a win over Carpi.
Head-to-Head
Roma won their first match-up with Carpi convincingly in Rome thrashing them 5-1. Arguably since then, Roma have looked a much less efficiency team and Carpi have adapted to Serie A football.
Team News
Injuries to defensive duo Riccardo Galiolo and Simon Ramgnoli are a problem for Carpi, while Lorenzo Lollo presence as a creator in midfield could also be missed.
Roma’s injury list is the longest in Serie A. They have very few long-term issues but there are question marks about defenders Norbert Gyomber, Basilis Torosidis, Lucas Digne and Elio Capradossi, midfielders Daniele de Rossi, Miralem Pjanic, Radja Nainggolan, Alessandro Florenzi and Kevin Strootman , forwards Edin Dzeko, Iago Falque and Ezequiel Ponce.
Reason for Betting Tips
Roma are on a three-game winning streak, they’ve resolved some of their bigger issues, are coping with injury challenges and we’re confident that they should maintain their run of good form against a spirited Carpi side that are running out of time.
