Vallecano to continue playoff push

Castellon welcome Rayo  Vallecano to Estadio Municipal de Castalia on Monday night with both sides needing to pick up maximum points to achieve their goals.

Castellon currently sit in the relegation zone but if results go their way, they could climb out of the bottom four this week. They have gone five games without a win however and could end up being having their relegation confirmed if they fail to win and Logrones find a positive result.

Meanwhile, Vallecano have been pushing for a playoff spot for a few weeks now and they are just outside the top six on goal difference. They’ve lost just one of their last six games and could jump into the playoff places on Monday if they better Girona or Gijon’s results.

Another tense game takes place on Monday night but this one could be a little more frantic with Castellon having to win to preserve their Segunda Liga status. That could be a bridge too far for the side though and we’re predicting that Vallecano pick up the vital three points this weekend in a 2-0 win.
