Celta Vigo vs Real Betis Betting Tips & Predictions

Celta Vigo have been one of the most impressive sides in La Liga this season and were it not for the 2 month injury absence of Nolito, who is arguably the best player in the league outside the ‘big 3’, they could have been real top four challengers. They have improved defensively too in recent weeks and their 1-0 win at Sporting Gijon last time out means they have 10 points from their last 4 matches and are in 5th place and all but certain of Europa League football next term. They are still 8 points behind Villarreal in 4th but a top six finish would be a fine achievement for the Galician club.

Real Betis will be pretty content with their season too despite their winter woes which led to the dismissal of Pepe Mel. They are in 13th place with a sizable 9 point cushion on the bottom 3 in their first campaign back in the top flight. They were 1-0 winners at home to bottom club Levante last time out but had lost their previous 3 matches including a 5-1 hammering at Atletico Madrid in their previous away game.

Both teams are almost in a position where they have little left to lose now. Real Betis are virtually safe and they have done quite well on the road this term so it could be a good game. Betis have scored in all of their last 5 away games but have conceded 12 goals over that period and it’s very hard to see a Celta side that are strong going forward failing to net at some point here. The Galicians do have the worst defensive record outside the bottom 6 though so you’d fancy Betis to continue their scoring run on the road too and backing both teams to score at 3/4 could be the way to go here.
