Celta Vigo save their best for when they play in front of their own fans, and they are worth backing to get the victory over Sevilla on Saturday.

Claudio Giraldez’s side have won ten of their 17 home games in the Primera Liga this season and can stay in the hunt for European qualification against a visiting team who have still not secured their top-flight status for next season.

Celta Vigo are seventh in the league table, eight places and eight points above Sevilla, but both teams have lost more games than they’ve won this season. Celta have 13 wins and 14 defeats, while Sevilla have nine wins and 14 losses.

It would be no surprise to see Celta Vigo score, having found the net at least twice in four of their last five Primera Liga games. They have also scored at least twice in three successive matches.

Sevilla’s attack has been struggling of late, with the visitors losing their last two away games in the Primera Liga without scoring.

Sevilla look vulnerable at the back. They have gone seven straight games without keeping a clean sheet in the Primera Liga, and have failed to keep out their opponents in 16 of their last 20 league matches.

A narrow 1-0 win for Celta Vigo looks the most likely outcome. There have been fewer than three goals in three of the last five Primera Liga clashes between these sides, and eight of Celta’s 13 wins this season have come by a single goal.
